The American Dream is a faded dream for so many people. Most people dream of giving their family a better life than they had growing up. Many work one or more jobs. With the cost of food and gas going up every day, people have to decide between life’s necessities. Their dream of posterity fades each day. Hope’s Closet and Pantry is a non-profit striving to help those people. Hope stands for: Helping Our People Excel. We believe everyone has a story, whether it is from a broken, abusive, or non emotional home or background. Everyone has crisis in their life from time to time. We want to wrap our arms around those people and let them know, someone cares. We will never be judgmental; we will be caring and nurturing as we serve others. We are reaching our community through compassion and serving in Jesus’ name. Matthew 25:40 And the king shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you in as much as Ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Hope’s Closet was born out of a need that Kimberley Buchberger saw in Cabot after her family moved there in October 2005. Hope’s Closet opened November 2005.“The need was not only for food, clothing, and shelter, but wanting to belong. There is a great work to be done here in the area. With the help of people who are willing to follow, it can be done. As we journey on and work together we can provide what every person needs, hope for the future.” Kimberley BuchbergerWhat We Offer:Clothing and food to families in Cabot at no cost.
